Bus cuts will hurt worst off

PLANS to axe First Bus services in Falkirk district – including the X19 link in Bo’ness – have been described as “shocking” by the Labour leader of Falkirk Council.
Cllr Craig Martin said the move, prompted by cuts in SNP Government cash, was a “blow for many communities”. He told The Falkirk Herald: “My main concern is the affect this will have on the most vulnerable people, the elderly, unemployed and those on low incomes, who cannot afford to run a car and rely on buses to get about.”
