SNP plan ‘not prudent’

FALKIRK Council’s SNP group responded to this year’s budget by proposing a dip into Council reserves – which are already low – to freeze school meals and sports centre charges and pay for other initiatives.

Their plan was described as “not prudent” by the Council’s finance chief. Alex Janetta said: "I believe it would not be prudent to use any of our reserves. I’m not in the business of gambling on this council’s finances."
